Dr. (Prof.) G. N. Lone is a highly experienced Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at National Heart Institute, New Delhi, with extensive expertise in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery. He has over two decades of experience in performing complex cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), off-pump CABG (OPCAB), aortic aneurysm surgery, and congenital heart surgeries. He is also a DNB Guide and serves as an External Examiner for M.Ch./DrNB (Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery), actively contributing to postgraduate surgical education and training.

Prior to joining National Heart Institute, Dr. Lone served as Professor and Head, Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (CVTS) at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar. He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Srinagar, M.S. (General Surgery) from SKIMS, Srinagar, and M.Ch. (Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery) from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh in 1997.

Dr. Lone has further enhanced his expertise through advanced fellowships in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery at Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre, New Delhi, and Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram. He is also a Fellow of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons (FIACS).
